Course Overview

This course will introduce the learners to Information Technology (IT) tools, including industry-specific LegalTech solutions, emerging legal technologies to support the digitalisation of legal offices and the industry.

What You'll Learn

Learners will learn about practice management software, document management systems, knowledge management systems, automation tools, data analytics and their use cases in law firms or legal departments. Introduction to Generative AI and prompt engineering for law firm and legal department.

Certification

Participants who meet at least 75% of the required course attendance and attempt the assessment will be awarded the Certificate of completion.

Lecturer/Trainer Profile

Mr Aaron Ong

Aaron’s academic qualifications include a degree in Engineering (Computer Engineering) as well as a law degree.

Aaron is a Senior Lecturer in Temasek Polytechnic’s Business School where he teaches subjects such as Legal Innovation & Technology, Intellectual Property, Media Law and Business Law.

Before joining Temasek Polytechnic, Aaron was involved in Intellectual Property (IP) management work at the Ministry of Education. He supported IP licensing initiatives for the ministry and schools, as well as provided training and consultation on IP related matters in the ministry. Prior to that Aaron was a technology analyst with Bank of America Merrill Lynch involved in network management and project delivery initiatives.
